Penrhiwgoch

A luxury detached cottage in a tranquil area.

Penrhiwgoch is a detached house standing in its own grounds of around 10 acres. It has recently been extended and refurbished to the highest standardrs. Penrhiwgoch is situated just off the minor road between Crickadarn and Gwenddwr, in a valley formed by the Cletwr Brook, a tributary stream of the River Wye. The brook runs along the boundary of the property. The valley is a Site of Special Scientific Interest as part of the River Wye Tributaries SSSI, and is also part of the Wye Valley European Special Area of Conservation. The brook is home to otters, salmon, trout, crayfish.
Red Kite and buzzards are often seen overhead, and there are owls living in a tree on the property.

The Brecon Beacons and Black Mountain National Parks are a short drive away and provide wonderful walking and riding. Penrhiwgoch itself is on the lower slopes of Mynydd Epynt, and open moorland can be reached within a couple of miles of the house via the many footpaths and bridleways shown on the OS map.
