Porth-y-Parc is a 35 acre organic smallholding on the slopes of Sugar Loaf Mountain in the Brecon Beacons National Park, surrounded by fields and woodland, yet only ten minutes' drive from Abergavenny. There are two holiday cottages, The Old Barn and The White House. Each property is entirely private.

In addition to the stylish accommodation and wonderful views, guests are welcomed with a homemade cake and eggs from our ducks and hens and home-reared organic lamb and pork are available.

There is fabulous walking from the door and other outdoor activities (riding, wild swimming etc) are available nearby.

Porth-y-Parc is an ideal base for Hay Festival (June) and Abergavenny Food Festival (September).

Each house sleeps 6       Dogs welcome by arrangement

The Old Barn
We have restored the 18th century barn as a stylish and comfortable holiday home.  Inside the barn is a mix of contemporary furniture and lighting alongside traditional oak beams and antiques. The kitchen is superbly equipped and in the living room a woodburner gives a cosy feel on chillier evenings.

All three bedrooms (two double, one twin) are spacious and comfortable, each with its own Sugar Loaf view. There are two bathrooms -  an ensuite shower room to one double, and a family bathroom upstairs.

Outside are two sunny seating areas for relaxing and drinking in the views. A barbecue is provided.

The White House
The White House was built in 1970 as a modern replacement for the old stone farmhouse.  We have restyled the fixtures and fittings to create a bright and airy contemporary home, and included some retro touches as a nod to its roots.  Again we have equipped the kitchen to the highest standard, there is a woodburner in the living room, three spacious bedrooms (two double, one twin) and two bathrooms.

The views are down to Abergavenny and the Usk Valley, and the sunny garden is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy them. Barbecue provided.

Larger groups (up to 12) may like to book the two cottages together.
