How to experience this legend

A Mission Station on the Buffalo River

A visit to the The Regimental Museum of the Royal Welsh in Brecon is an absolute must. Watch the dvd which will explain the build up to the famous battle, the errors of judgement made on both sides and help you to appreciate the bravery of all those who fought. There are rooms full of memorabilia, glass cabinets full of medals, guns, letters and more. The museum traces the history from the start of the regiment in 1689 up to the present day. The next place to visit is Brecon Cathedral, 1 of 5 Cathedrals in Wales,
where the colours are displayed and a chapel dedicated to the 24th foot regiment.
