Weather in the Brecon Beacons National Park
The weather can make a real difference to your experience in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Like much of Wales, we get our fair share of rain and, being a mountainous area, conditions can change quickly.
However, as the saying goes, there's no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing. So we recommend that you check the forecast here before travelling so that you can plan your activities accordingly and bring the right gear with you. That way you will make the most of your time here, have more fun and go back home with a bigger smile on your face!
In July, which is normally our warmest month, the average daytime maximum temperature is around 21ºC. January and February are our coldest months, with an average daytime minimum of just under 0ºC.
You’ll find a summary of the current weather forecast for several towns in the National Park on our home page, www.breconbeacons.org.
